Canoe trails
Stora Frillen Loop
Lake Stora Frillen offers a serene environment for canoeing, fishing, hiking, and birdwatching. The 4km canoe route takes paddlers through diverse landscapes, from open waters to sheltered bays. The area is rich in birdlife, with small islands perfect for breaks. Surrounded by forests and wetlands, it's an ideal nature getaway in Halland and Småland.
Lagaleden Trail
Lagaleden stretches from Lake Bolmen, through Bolmån and the Lagan River, all the way to the Kattegatt sea. Paddle across large lakes and narrow rivers, experiencing scenic beaches and powerful power plants. You can start and stop anywhere, enjoy day trips, or embark on a full adventure all the way to the sea.
Unnen-Bolmen-Slätten Loop
The 29 km canoe trail loops through lakes Unnen, Bolmen, and Slätten. Starting at Lake Unnen, paddlers head to Bolmen, Swedens tenth largest lake, known for its 365 islands and fishging. After a portage, the trail continues to the peaceful Slätten, offering narrow inlets and seclusion. There are spots for relaxation, fishing, and overnight stays along the route.
Nissan Trail
Nissan, one of Halland's four rivers, flows through stunning landscapes rich in wildlife. Paddle along its serene waters, starting near Skeppshult through the Färgen Lakes to Femsjö, while enjoying the diverse flora and fauna. Respect the natural surroundings, avoid disturbing nesting birds, and cherish the tranquility of this beautiful river.
SUP – Rental
Paddling a stand-up paddleboard through untouched nature is pure serenity. Gliding over still waters, the rhythmic sound of your paddle is the only disruption. Things to remember before canoeing
For you who are going on a short tour (up to two hours)
- Follow a set route. It is good to decide the canoeing route before starting.
- Clothing – it is best to wear as little as possible without actually starting to feel cold. Remember you
get warm from canoeing. - A water bottle is always good to have, especially in summer and warm weather.
- Use sunblock if it’s a sunny day.
For you who are going on a slightly longer tour (four hours – full day)
- In addition to the above recommendations we also suggest that you take change of clothing and rain gear.
- Food, fruit and snacks will be needed.
